Rites of Passage Programs
RITES OF PASSAGE
Continuing our efforts to help teens define their reality and create a blueprint for their lives, Life Paradigms, Inc. facilitates the Blueprint for Womanhood (a Rites of Passage Program).
Going into its 31st year, Rites of Passage are unique culture and leadership development programs specifically designed to prepare Black girls, 13-17, for a successful transition into adulthood. The 12-week program, created by Fatimah Halim, President/CEO of Life Paradigms, Inc., places an emphasis on cultural, mental, and emotional development.
Rites of Passage curricula are culture and gender-specific and address the challenges our youth face in today’s world. Professionals volunteer their time to mentor, share, and instruct classes/workshops. The curriculum includes but is not limited to:
History
Civics & Civic Engagement
The Arts & Literature
Financial Literacy; Entrepreneurship
Public Speaking; Interpersonal Communication
Analytical Thinking; Situational Awareness
Relationships
Social Media; Digital Awareness
Health & Healing
And More . . .

“Blueprint for Womanhood serves to shift the paradigm of dysfunctional behavior that is undermining the quality of life for our daughters. We provide the keys that unlock the treasures of womanhood and open doors to endless possibilities.”
